Judith Reese - Artist Reception - April 28

Judith Reese Paintings
Reception: April 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to a reception in honor of Judith Reese on April 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.  Local artist, Judith Reese’s unique art creations are on display upstairs at the Library during April 2017.

Receiving much of the inspiration for her art work from her mountainside view of the New River and the ever-changing surroundings of West Jefferson, Mrs. Reese takes nature’s direction and melds together unconventional combinations of water colors and acrylics on dormant paper.  This is evident in her artistic creations of flowers, trees and native North Carolina wildlife. Her unmistakable individual flair shares with us her world as experienced in the moment. The textured or layered effect of her work awakens the lifeless mediums of paint and paper while beckoning the observer to look.  Just as nature creates no two snowflakes alike, Mrs. Reese takes pride in not duplicating any of her existing work. Both she and her art works are unique in today’s world of creative imagery.  She also creates unique card sets!  The Library is very excited to have her art work gracing our gallery.
